DJI released a new firmware v1.04 for iOSD mini!

What’s new?

Firmware:

Add the Azimuth angle display to help users locate the aircraft.
Add the current battery level percentage display when connecting to Phantom 2.

User Manual:

Add the Azimuth angle description.
Add the current battery level percentage description when connecting to Phantom 2.

*It is recommended to upgrade the autopilot system to the latest firmware, for better support of iOSD mini device.

Thanks for the notification Richard. It would if it could have GPS coordinates displayed and also be able to switch to imperial units.

Displaying the Firmware 1.02 but does not suggest any update.
When I connect to Firmware 2.20 nasa assists fine BTU with several, but not OSD mini.

+1 here.... when I boot up the iOSD assistant (V3.02) it tells me that the latest firmware version is V1.02 and will update only to that version. How do we get V1.04?

I would also like to see the ability to select imperial units

Just realised I was using the wrong program. Should have been "iOSD Assistant Software v3.00 2013-08-06" the same as standard IOSD. Will have another go when next I have some time.

I haven't confirmed this yet, but others have reported that this "workaround" had worked for them...

DJI certainly doesn't make things easy with all the different software.

or the fact that on http://www.dji.com/products/
when you click on the iOSD mini, there's no product support
.. you gotta go to the Mark II page for Mini support!#

I'd feel more comfortable accessing files from the front door, not the back door as well!

Quick question - when ready to do the update and connecting to computer with USB cable, it says to power up the iOSD mini. Does that mean power up the Phantom? Or is there another way to power up the mini? I'm a newbie here so be kind. I just received my iOSD mini yesterday and have not installed it yet.

Yes, you'd wanna power up the Phantom, just as you would when connecting the NAZA

Plug the Mini iOSD into the CAN BUS, connect the micro USB lead, power it 'all' up and launch the iOSD Assistant software http://www.dji.com/download/iosd-mark-ii-downloads/ and away it goes - mine updated straight to v1.04.

You also seem to get a data logger with the assistant (extra shortcut on the desktop) - does this capture dat from the iOSD after a flight (haven't tried yet) and if so how much does it remember ?
